Energy Efficiency Stimulus Program

Improve Your Environment, Improve Your Health

Schools, businesses and healthcare facilities can now access funding to improve the air quality and energy performance of their buildings. The program provides grants to maintain, repair, or replace HVAC systems, and for installing energy efficient and water-conserving plumbing fixtures and appliances. Eligible applicants can replace noncompliant plumbing fixtures and appliances with water-conserving plumbing fixtures and appliances. 

Boards of Education can benefit from this program including public schools such as local school districts, consolidated school districts, regional school districts, county vocational schools, and charter schools. 

Ventilation and Energy Efficiency Verification and Repair (SSB-VEEVR) 
Improve the air quality and performance of your HVAC systems through an assessment. Assessments will test, adjust, and if necessary or cost-effective, repair, upgrade, or replace. Grants can help pay for work such as:
• HVAC assessment and verification reports 
• Deferred general maintenance
• Adjustment of ventilation rates
• Filter replacement
• System repair, upgrade, or replacement
• Carbon dioxide monitor installation

Noncompliant Plumbing Fixture and Appliance (SSB-NPFA)
Save water and energy by swapping out old plumbing fixtures and appliances with new equipment that saves water and uses less energy. Eligible equipment includes: 
• Shower heads and faucet aerators
• Toilets and urinals
• Commercial dishwashers, clothes washers, and ice-makers
