Tozour Named a Philadelphia Business Journal Top Veteran-Owned Business

King of Prussia, PA (March 24, 2015) — Tozour Energy Systems (TES), the region’s leading provider of HVAC systems and services, was ranked among the top “Veteran-Owned Businesses” in the annual list produced by the Philadelphia Business Journal.

TES comes in at the fourth spot on the list, which is ranked by number of employees. The company has been an industry leader in the Greater Philadelphia region for more than 30 years under the leadership of founder and chief executive officer, Douglas O. Tozour.

Tozour graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1963 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning the rank of Captain. After his service, Tozour began his career in the HVAC industry. He founded Tozour Energy Systems in 1979 when he purchased the Hartford, Conn. Trane franchise. In 1983, he sold the franchise back to Trane and purchased the Philadelphia Trane franchise, which included the five counties surrounding Philadelphia and parts of southern New Jersey.

“I am proud to have served our country. The training I received in the U.S. Marine Corps enabled me to successfully lead and grow our team to nearly 200 families,” said Doug. “It’s an honor to be recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal, and I’d like to offer my congratulations to the other businesses that appear on this year’s list.”

This is the second consecutive year the Philadelphia Business Journal has ranked Tozour Energy Systems among the region’s top veteran-owned businesses. For more information, please visit www.tozourenergy.com.
